The Tweedy Pie 18 is a superb small amp with the all of the tone Bruno's are famous for. Tony has massaged and refined the 6V6 tweed sound and feel to near perfection. He has also carefully improved the classic tweed cabinet design to maintain the wonderful resonance but thankfully get rid of the highly annoying tweed cabinet buzzes and rattles. This amp has sweet highs, nice warm midrange and full bass notes with excellent touch sensitivity and dynamics. At lower volume settings it has wonderful clean tones, but as the volume is increased the amp quickly blooms into rich harmonics and superb overdrive. This amp delivers the goods with amazing classic rock tones, phenomenal blues sound and singing sustain. The tweedy Pie 18 has loads of tone and harmonic complexity in a small portable combo that's perfect for lugging to a recording session or small club gig without breaking your back. Its also a fabulous practice amp that sounds incredible at any volume.
The Tweedy Pie (also known as the Baby Bruno) has 18 watts of dual 6V6 power, 2 - 12AX7's, and a 5Y3 rectifier. The cabinet is constructed of solid pine for its sweet brightness and then fine tuned with a birch ply baffle for superb resonance. Finger-jointed construction is used just like the finest furniture which provides a very strong, extremely rigid, rattle free cabinet that will last a lifetime. Other features include premium tolex coverings, padded handles, heavy duty feet, stainless steel screws/bolts and chromed steel corners. The standard finish is Black with an Art Deco style control panel and aged Ivory "chicken head" knobs. The Amp is also available with 1 - 12AX7 and 1 - 12AY7 option for more clean headroom.
